Who we are

Joseph Burton is the CEO of TeleSign. Before TeleSign, he served as CEO of Plantronics (now Poly) from 2016 to 2020, after joining the company in 2011 as Chief Technical officer, and then Chief Commercial Officer. He started his career in 1990 as a software engineer, was acquired into Cisco in 2001 and served as Cisco's CTO for Unified Communications until 2010. Burton specializes in digital transformation, growth acceleration, corporate strategy and go-to-market, and has extensive expertise in technology and product development. He was most recently a Senior Advisor to the management consulting company McKinsey & Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and completed the Stanford Executive program at Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA).

Thomas Dhondt is the Chief Financial Officer overseeing TeleSign’s financial functions including FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, and investor relations. Before joining TeleSign, Thomas spent 8 years at Proximus in the corporate and enterprise business units where he specialized in strategy, finance and M&A. The last two years he served as Director of the corporate M&A department and was responsible for transactions within the telecom, IT, and software industries with a total combined deal consideration of several billion dollars. He also led the buy-out of TeleSign by Proximus. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Business Engineering from Ghent University (Belgium) and Corporate Finance at Essec Business School (France).

Tom Wesselman is the CTO and head of product at TeleSign. Prior to TeleSign, he was VP/GM of the software business unit at Plantronics (now Poly) from 2018 to 2021, after joining the company in 2013 as Director of Software. He spent 11 years at Cisco leading teams in security, identity, unified communications, and the strategic alliance with Microsoft. Wesselman specializes in building and accelerating new businesses, developing high-performance teams, and using lean and agile development to deliver both innovation and growth.

Cynthia Ng leads the Legal and Privacy teams at TeleSign. Cynthia has more than 20 years’ experience in legal practice in IT.  Prior to TeleSign, Cynthia was VP at CA Technologies working first in their Sydney office, then moving to Beijing and finally relocated to New York to work at their HQ. She has a double degree in Science and Law from the Australian National University and a Masters of Law from USC. She is called to the Bar in California, Australia, and Malaysia.‍

Peter Vermeulen is the Chief People Officer at TeleSign. With a strong background in finance and analytics, coupled with his human resources expertise, Peter specializes in developing cost-effective, sustainable, and measurable strategies that drive organizational and talent success. Before coming to TeleSign, Peter served as the Global Head of Human Resources & Customer Service for Amazon and he has also held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson and the Linde Group. A Belgian native, Peter is a dual-citizen of the U.S. and Belgium and is fluent in English, Dutch, French, and German, and is proficient in Danish. Peter holds a GPHR certificate from the HRCI, where he formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors. He earned a Master of European Studies degree from the University of Strasbourg, France, and a Master of Business Economics from the University of Leuven, Belgium.  Peter is the co-author of the book Be(come) an AWESOME Manager and has also been awarded both the National Diversity Council Leadership Award and the Global Mobility Award.

Kristi Melani is the CMO at TeleSign. Before joining TeleSign, Kristi led the global Growth Marketing organization at Anaplan. Prior to Anaplan, she was Vice President of Marketing at Poly leading a global marketing team across demand generation, messaging, campaign creation, events, ecommerce, web and digital transformation.

Wei Lin oversees TeleSign Engineering organization and is responsible for product development. Lin is a college lecturer and a veteran of software industry and held various leadership roles at Symantec, CAE and Leco Instrument. Prior joining TeleSign, she taught computer science at the Computer Science Department of California Polytechnic State University Pomona. Previously, Lin spent 16 years at Symantec where she was a Sr Director of Engineering responsible for development of various Norton security products, Norton eCommerce, and core security solutions included in both Norton and Symantec enterprise products.

Yoon is responsible for keeping all network systems running smoothly and efficiently in order to provide clients with a reliable and consistent experience. He has over 16 years of experience in providing reliable operations in several industries, from supporting and managing small to large organizations.

Yoon is an ever-evolving technologist at heart, who enjoys tinkering with and learning about the latest technology and gadgets. When he is not working, he can be found on the golf course.

As TeleSign’s GM, Nenad focuses on the team in Belgrade by improving processes, programs and communication channels, as well as employer branding and community engagement. From 2012-2017 Nenad grew the Serbian office to more than 160 employees which supported all of TeleSign’s global operations. His background includes leadership roles in both enterprise and startup environments in IT, Telecommunications and FMCG industries. He has scaled several companies across Central and South Eastern Europe. In addition, Nenad is very active in the Belgrade community belonging to various economic associations.

Guillaume Bourcy is the Vice President of Data and Identity Solutions at TeleSign. In his current role at TeleSign, he is leading teams responsible for data science, partnerships, product, pre-sales and innovation. Prior to Telesign, Guillaume had more than 15 years’ experience in rapidly growing the Telco and Identity Solutions at BICS, a subsidiary of Proximus, from the ground up to becoming an industry leader using both organic and M&A growth. Guillaume’s work philosophy is to learn something new every day so you can bring new ideas to fuel innovation and drive results. If he is not working on the next identity solution, you will most likely find him writing comics books, surfing, or running.

Aaron Seyler is the Senior Vice President of the Sales and Customer Success for TeleSign.  Aaron has almost 15 years sales experience in the technology and SaaS industries.  Aaron specializes in rapidly growing revenue and developing high performance sales teams. He holds a BS in Business Management from Arizona State University.  When Aaron is not working, he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and living near the beach with his wife and two children.

Stubblefield co-founded TeleSign in 2005 and today helps to drive TeleSign's product strategy and identify opportunities for innovation--ensuring that TeleSign delivers groundbreaking technology that best addresses market needs. As part of TeleSign's founding team, she was instrumental in conceptualizing and developed its platform and patented technology. While developing TeleSign's technology, she also oversaw an engineering team at an internet incubator that launched several fast-growing web properties. She remains an active consultant, advising internet start-ups and consumer product sites and is a frequent speaker at industry events, including Mobile World Congress and Mobile Computing Summit.
